The Clintonville Community Choir was established as a result of community interest in creating a local choir. Founders Sharon Watkins, Nancy Kohn, and Glenn Williams met in early August 2005 to create the group. The choir now performs three concerts each year with eight rehearsals prior to each event.
The Clintonville Community Choir is open to any central Ohio resident who wishes to sing in a choir. New members are always welcome. No audition is necessary -- just a desire to sing with a group and have fun.
The choir often performs music by Clintonville native
John Ness Beck.
Mr. Beck, now deceased, was a prolific composer of choral music. He was owner and operator of The University Music House and was a part
owner with John Tatgenhorst of Beckenhorst Press, both located in
Clintonville.
